Protera Technologies is seeking an SAP on Cloud – Lead Basis Architect to join their team.
This remote, full-time position involves leading technical architecture, delivery, and governance for global clients transitioning their SAP operations to cloud-based solutions.
Key responsibilities include designing SAP technical architectures across platforms like S/4HANA, ECC, and BW/4HANA on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
The role also involves leading S/4HANA transformations, migrations, and upgrades, as well as defining and implementing high availability and disaster recovery patterns.
The candidate will establish automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation, and oversee platform operations readiness, security, and compliance.
The position requires leading multiple programs, mentoring teams, and translating business requirements into technical solutions for CxO-level stakeholders.
Candidates should have 10–15+ years of SAP Basis/HANA experience with proven cloud architecture expertise, particularly in AWS, Azure, and RISE with SAP.
Experience in leading end-to-end S/4HANA transformation programs and deep expertise in SAP on Oracle, HANA, SQL, or DB2 are essential.
The role demands strong networking, identity/SSO, and compliance knowledge, along with an automation mindset for SAP infrastructure.
Excellent communication and leadership skills are required, along with a bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or a related field.
Cloud and SAP certifications are preferred.
Additional experience with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP BTP architecture, and industry experience in regulated environments is a plus.
