Tachyon Technologies is seeking an experienced SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) Consultant to join their Application Management Services team in Buffalo, NY.
This is a contractual position in the IT Software category.
The consultant will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing SAP BusinessObjects reports, dashboards, and universes.
They will support and enhance existing SAP BOBJ applications, ensuring smooth data flow and performance tuning.
The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
The consultant will perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for report and data-related issues.
They will integrate data from various SAP modules and non-SAP sources into reporting layers and participate in data modeling, ETL design, and migration activities.
Managing user access, security, and system configurations within the BOBJ environment is also required.
The consultant will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
They will provide support for upgrades, patching, and new feature implementations and prepare technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects tools, including Web Intelligence, Lumira, and Crystal Reports.
Experience with Universe Design Tool and Information Design Tool is necessary.
A working knowledge of SAP BW, HANA, and data modeling concepts is required.
Proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, and data integration techniques is essential.
Candidates should have experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
Familiarity with data governance and security best practices is important.
