The company is seeking an SAP Basis Consultant to join their team.
This role involves managing and developing internal SAP system landscapes and overseeing SAP Basis processes.
The consultant will administer SAP customer systems and serve as a technical contact in collaboration with customer representatives.
Responsibilities include planning and executing new implementations, backups, upgrades, release changes, system and client copies, importing SAP support packages, and relocating SAP system landscapes.
The consultant will also support customer projects, potentially as an IT project leader, and monitor existing SAP systems and interfaces.
They will handle service management tasks for customer systems, provide IT security consulting, and assist the support team with SAP Basis service requests.
The role requires addressing SAP system disruptions according to agreed service levels and adapting the service portfolio to future customer needs.
Candidates should have a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications.
A minimum of two years of experience in SAP Basis support is required.
The ideal candidate will have project management skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capability to evaluate and optimize process flows.
Technical expertise should include Windows Server, Linux, and databases such as Oracle, DB2, MaxDB, and SAP HANA.
Comprehensive knowledge of SAP software technology, including SAP NetWeaver ABAP, NetWeaver JAVA, and SAP Solution Manager, is essential.
Familiarity with authorization and SAP interface technologies (RFC, IDOC, ALE) is also needed.
Proficiency in German and good English skills are required.
