The company is seeking a Mid-Level SAP HANA Database Administrator to join its IT team in Columbia, MD.
The role involves managing and maintaining SAP HANA databases, ensuring high availability, optimizing performance, and performing system backups and recovery.
Key responsibilities include administering and monitoring SAP HANA database instances, managing backups and recovery procedures, and performing database tuning and troubleshooting.
The candidate will also be responsible for planning and implementing system upgrades and patches, maintaining database security, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Collaboration with other teams and maintaining detailed documentation are also essential duties.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on SAP HANA is required.
Strong proficiency in SAP HANA database architecture, installation, and configuration is essential.
The candidate should have hands-on experience with performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability solutions in SAP HANA.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell is also necessary.
SAP HANA certification and experience with cloud or hybrid environments are preferred.
The role requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
The compensation range for this position is between $107,300 and $230,600, depending on various factors such as education, skills, and experience.
