Tachyon Technologies is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant for a contractual position in Houston, TX.
The consultant will be responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance of SAP systems and landscapes.
Key responsibilities include administering SAP landscapes, performing system installations, upgrades, and patches, and monitoring system performance.
The role also involves managing the SAP Transport Management System, maintaining system health, and administering databases such as SAP HANA.
The consultant will set up and manage high availability and disaster recovery systems and support SAP systems on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Coordination with functional teams, security, ABAP developers, and infrastructure teams is essential.
The consultant will also apply SAP Notes and handle OSS messages in coordination with SAP support, ensuring compliance with backup, patching, and security policies.
Candidates should have 3–7+ years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience.
Strong expertise in SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA, or ECC is required.
Proficiency in database administration, particularly SAP HANA, and OS-level administration on Linux/UNIX/Windows is necessary.
Experience with SAP Solution Manager and familiarity with cloud infrastructure for SAP are also important.
A strong knowledge of the SAP transport system and change management is essential.
